As a projector, the Benq PB2220 combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 1700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 2000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 359 cm can be illuminated with 1700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 239 cm. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
