Based on DLP technology, the Benq W2700i device delivers 2000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 and a contrast of 30000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Lens Shift Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 454 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 303 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Thanks to Android TV, the device features an intuitive user interface with direct access to popular streaming apps. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2020 and is officially no longer distributed by Benq. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
