The technical data of the Benq MW809ST includes 3400 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 as well as a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 98 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 592 cm can be illuminated with 3400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 395 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
