Based on DLP technology, the Benq MW855UST+ projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 70 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 601 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 401 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
