The hardware properties of the MW820ST manufactured by Benq include 3000 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast value of 13000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 98 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
