As a projector, the Benq W2000 combines DLP technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 15000:1. According to Benq, the included lamp lasts up to 3500 hours. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 29 decibels. This model dates back to 2015 and is no longer part of Benq's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.

The BenQ offers a sensationally sharp picture (at least on a par with the Sony HW45 and significantly sharper than the Epson EH TW 9000 or EH TW 7200). However, the black level is not particularly good and, above all, the motion display is not so good; unfortunately, the projector does not have an intermediate image calculation (as does the significantly more expensive BenQ W3000). The projector is very flexible to install and fills a 2.9 m wide screen from approx. 3.6 m without difficulty. The brightness is not outstanding, so the picture is not really usable when there is too much daylight. In a moderately dark room, however, it is very very good, i.e. extremely sharp, very rich in contrast and colorful.
