Based on DLP technology, the Benq LW650 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 429 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Thanks to support for optional Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen.
