The equipment of the Benq LW500ST projector includes 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 with a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. Benq lists a runtime of 20000 hours for the LED in this projector – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 144 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported.
