The Benq MX806ST is a 3D-DLP projector that brings 3000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution alongside a contrast of 13000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4500 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 122 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
