The MX711 is a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Benq, whose specifications list 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5300:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3500 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 493 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 329 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.

We have two identical devices, and the same phenomenon occurs with both of them. BenQ support has no solution. A firmware update (for end users) is not available.
Therefore, not recommended as a portable projector, but more suitable for stationary use.
