Equipped with DLP technology, the Acer XD1250 offers 2100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2200:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 399 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 266 cm. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.

why are there so few reviews of this projector on the net?
there‘s really no reason for this:
the dlp projector has a native resolution of 1024x768, plenty of ansi lumens and is much cheaper than other devices in this category!
now i‘ve been using the projector for a week. i used to own a nec 47vt.
compared to the nec (which now costs 350 euros), the acer has clear advantages:
- the black level with dlp is very good (rainbow effect is usually not noticeable)
- the picture is very bright and the color reproduction is good
- due to the higher native resolution of 1024x768 (satndart in this price category is 800x600) you no longer notice the grid typical of lcd beamers!
overall i am very satisfied with the beamer, the only weak point i have noticed so far is the rather loud operating noise of 32 db
but since i will soon be hanging the beamer on the ceiling and mainly like to watch films a little louder anyway, this weak point is not so important to me. however, the noise development could definitely be annoying during business presentations.

An opinion (mine) on Acer XD 1150
Hello everyone,
I have just bought an Acer XD 1150 because I had a good feeling about it based on the good reviews.
Now, I have to say that this projector really has a bright, clear picture, even in daylight.
One thing, however, I find very annoying. When you watch a video or DVD, or moving pictures in general, you get the impression that the picture lags or blurs. I didn‘t have a DLP projector before, so maybe it‘s the rainbow effect? The device is great for still images and presentations. Everything is crystal clear and razor sharp. However, I wouldn‘t recommend this projector for home cinema and am considering whether to buy the XD 1250 or XD1270. Does anyone have any experience of this and does it also have this blurring effect?

Jan, I think like you !
Hello all !
I asked myself the same questions as Jan at the beginning.
I think people who want to buy such cheap devices also google accordingly.
Then the 800x600 projectors usually come into focus.
The XD1150 seems to me to be identical or at least similar except for the resolution. Nobody can tell me that an SVGA projector can project a better image than an XGA projector. To my shame, however, I have to admit that I don‘t have a direct comparison. What I like best about the XD 1250 is the vivid, natural color reproduction. Considering how much you can spend on a projector, what could possibly go wrong with buying the Acer XD 1250?

Can anyone tell me more about this projector?
Ive been toying with the idea of getting this entry-level device. Looking at the technical data, I think that with my laymans knowledge, I have come across a device with an excellent price-performance ratio. The values for contrast and brightness seem to be right, and the resolution of 1024 x 768 also seems quite decent for the price. I would like to use the projector more or less all-round: TV, DVD, gaming, occasional surfing. HD playback is still of secondary importance to me – at least for the moment; so I think Ill be fine with the xd 1250. What does make me a little suspicious, though, is that the little brother xd 1150 – judging by the technical data – should be noticeably weaker, but is ranked 5 places higher (namely in 1st place). According to the forum posts, the device must be a small miracle machine. In almost all posts, the “small one” is praised throughout. However, no one has taken a position on the 1250 here. The price difference between the two devices is hardly worth mentioning. Nevertheless, no one really seems to be interested in the device with the better resolution! Can anyone explain why? Is there a good reason to choose the 1150 over the 1250?
I would be very happy to receive one or the other answer!
