The H6517BD+ model from Acer combines DLP technology in the Homecinema sector with 3300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 584 cm can be illuminated with 3300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 389 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.
