The basic data of the Acer H6517BD includes 3200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 as well as a contrast of 10000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. Looking at practical performance, up to 575 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 383 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. This model dates back to 2015 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.

My H6517BD has a very good, high-contrast picture without interference, completely sharp. The volume is negligible, you can only hear the projector during particularly quiet scenes. It‘s also important to remember that this projector only costs around EUR 500. Even during the European Football Championship, I didn‘t notice any streaks or streaks during fast movements, the ball doesn‘t trail behind it.

My first Acer projector had a switch-on error after approx. 170 hours of use and was replaced after several unsuccessful repairs. I then bought the H6517BD projector. I am also disappointed with the device. Pixelation and stripes are visible on DVD and standard TV signals. Streaks were also visible at times with fast HD signals. I called Acer customer service and an expert wanted to call me back. I even left another message on the Acer customer service machine. I am still waiting for this call back today. I am very disappointed with the Acer brand and will not be buying anything from them again. I sold the projector with only 20h lamp hours.

Perfect image sharpness and loud
The projector was ordered from Amazon and showed problems with the image sharpness. In addition, it was noticed that the entire image moves when focusing
The projector was replaced. The picture is now even worse. Upper half of picture sharp => lower half of picture blurred. The projector is therefore unusable.
