In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range.

Hello I also have an acer pd100 very satisfied. .now I wanted to connect the ps3....but I can‘t get a signal...I bought an hdmi and vga out connection. ...doesn‘t work. Do i have to adjust something on the beamer or ps3. ....dabje ahead. .

Overheating
I also have problems with overheating, but only when the projector is upside down (mounted on the ceiling). For the last 3 or 4 years it has stood on its own feet and done its job well. The trick of unplugging it when the error message appears helps in that it stays on after the 3 seconds, but only until it is switched off again overnight. The next day, unfortunately, the game starts all over again
The screws I used to mount it to the ceiling are 2.5 mm screws from the DIY store with the "projects".

Hello !Had the same with the overheating, I was told to turn on the projector and then when the error message comes plug from the mains and after 3 seconds back in !!!! Since then about 2 years no more error message :)

I bought the PD 100 D as mentioned by my colleague WAVE2006 I have overheating problems... when i bought the projector it ran for 2-3 hours then it shut down ^^ it went on like that until i said i would send it in for repair (warranty) the guys from Acer really let themselves be celebrated i waited 3-4 weeks for the thing... they write that they only installed new software ^^ then the projector worked for 3 months or even 6 months if it comes up but then it always turns off as soon as you turn on a device or it has to display moving pictures because of overheating although it only runs for 1 minute or seconds..
is there a solution for my problem???? :)
otherwise it would be great if it worked...

And yes, the menu can be rotated. :)
The best way to mount it is with straps on a cut-to-size board.

Hello guys,
I would like to buy the Acer PD100D projector and use it as a home theater. The description of the device states that ceiling mounting is not possible? Is that correct? Are there no holes to mount the projector on a panel? Can the image be rotated by 180° in the beamer menu? I look forward to any answers. What about the volume? Appearances are somewhat deceptive
In the beginning everything was great and I thought it was a TOP DEVICE for a TOP PRICE,
but when fine-tuning the picture it is very INACCURATE (wobbles when zooming)
The 16:9 CONVERSION causes major problems! (ZDF WM)
Sometimes the picture is like a kind of slow motion!!!
In addition, many devices have an overheating problem (I didn‘t have one myself)

Hello,
I also received my PD100D today. At first I was a bit disappointed with the picture quality. It can‘t handle a picture width of 2.4m. But up to 1.8m it‘s good for the price/performance ratio. Can definitely recommend the projector as an entry-level model.

Question about connecting the Acer PD100 to the Humax PDR9700C

I have a question. How can I connect the Humax PDR9700C to the projector using an RGB cable? Is that even possible? The Humax does not have a direct RGB output. The Acer PD100 only has the RGB input via the supplied adapter. Looking forward to your answers

I think 2000 Ansi lumens is a decent figure. Of course, no projector can produce a good picture in direct sunlight.
Not every Proki has such values for a 2 m picture.

So great part! I didn‘t listen on the net and only came across good data and information... then had it demonstrated to me again at Mediamarkt and I am very satisfied!!! Top part. Great for all private applications... Home theater and office no problem... Only the notification sounds (lamp on, lamp off) are annoying but can be switched off:)

I am completely satisfied!!!
This is my first device and I have informed myself extensively beforehand. I chose the PD100 because of its good price/performance ratio and I am more than satisfied. Using it as a projector for home cinema and also for presentations is ideal as the device is small and light. The picture is flawless and the device is extremely quiet.
Conclusion: A great device for beginners that is definitely worth buying!!!
