With the PD725, Acer offers a LED-DLP projector that features 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 493 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 329 cm. This model dates back to 2004 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range.

Quiet, good picture, good value, but occasional crashes
Have been using the PD725P for over 18 months now and am satisfied.
No problems with connecting notebooks (Apple, Dell, HP).
Very quiet in Eco mode. Video image very decent for the price range
Manufacturer‘s specification of 3600 Ansi lumens is, as usual, a great exaggeration
The device often crashes when trying to synchronize with the signal at the DVI input, then only a restart of the device helps.

Miserable computer projections
I wanted a bright projector for large projections of computer images. With the PD725P (with various computers), the image is bright, but the fonts are frayed and blurry to the point of illegibility and the colors change dramatically no matter what settings you try. The device was inexpensive, but is unfortunately unusable for my purposes, i.e. large computer projections. I therefore regret the purchase very much.

+Beautiful, light, sharp and very bright, - Optics, fan control
Beautiful, light, sharp and bright computer image in the price range, but no matter how I align the device to the screen I don‘t get the image at a right angle, in the video area it doesn‘t quite shine with the sharpness of the image. When adjusting the zoom, the focus shifts and the focus adjustment wheel is stiff and unergonomic. Unfortunately, the device does not have a stepless fan control, which leads to the fan howling in Eco mode with a permanent up and down of the fan noise. This is quite annoying despite the fairly quiet noise, especially for home theater.

Satisfaction counts
Have had the PD725 projector for a long time.
Absolutely important: VERY low fan noise and very bright picture.
Small disadvantages: when connected via digital connection DVI(?) the contrast is too strong, for a graduated brightness display in the dark image area analog connection was necessary.

Only sync problems and flickering
Have already spent hours with ACER Notebook --> 15m HQ XGA cable and PD725. The picture flickers, most extremely in PC mode, but still visible in movie mode. With IBM and Apple notebook i.o., ACER notebook and Toshiba beamer also works, only ACER with ACER does not seem to get along. :-(
