Known as the H7530D, this BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Acer features basic specs of 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 40000:1 at a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2500 hours for this projector's lamp. Looking at practical performance, up to 454 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 303 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

After my TV went over the Jordan, and I‘d been toying with a projector for a long time, I bought the H7530D.
I‘ve had it hanging from the ceiling for a year now, no side correction in the middle, but I knew that.
I use it to operate a Dreambox 500HD (HDMI), a Playstation3 (3-component), a Wii (video) and a laptop (vga).
Everything perfect, black, contrast, even 1920x1080 via VGA (Lappi).
95 points because of 5 crashes in 1 year :-)
I see rainbows in nature, but not on the projector.
I would buy the H7531D (successor) if I had to choose again.
I would buy the H7530D again if it wasn‘t on the market yet.

On the rainbow effect
Since the rainbow effect is so often criticized or mentioned (with different statements about it) :
I have to say that this is my first projector - so I can‘t compare it with other models.
I started the projector for the first time at dusk - but not yet via HDMI cable (normal video signal). Maybe that doesn‘t make any difference - I only noticed the rainbow effect in this mode when I let my eyes wander quickly over the picture - so no problem with a concentrated straight view. With the eye movement described, you have blue-red-green stripes across the image for what feels like a fraction of a second - and really only then.
This is how I explain the sometimes contradictory statements about this "rainbow effect". At first I thought the devices of the same design were of different quality, but it‘s probably the set-up distance, distance to the screen and "movement or viewing behavior" of the viewer that are the decisive variables that lead to such different reviews.
In any case, the first movie was impressive ... approx. 4 meters diagonal (large living room makes it possible), so that my little one and I had a successful first video evening.
Since I don‘t have any comparisons, I won‘t give a further rating, but I wanted to explain the differences in the statements about the rainbow effects, which had (wrongly) unsettled me.

Rainbow!
I bought the projector on sale at Media Markt. I was delighted when I set it up and watched a few scenes from Knight and Day Blu Ray. Unfortunately, I already noticed the rainbow effect, even when I tried to ignore it. That was already the absolute pain threshold.
After that, I tested the movie Sin City, as the colors made it extremely suitable for testing the rainbow effect. Unfortunately, the movie was no longer black and white, but a wild chaos of blue, red and green. I had to stop the movie after less than two minutes because I felt sick.
I liked the colors, picture quality, sharpness and even dark scenes, but the rainbow effect is unbelievable.
Unfortunately, I can‘t use any other projectors as a comparison, as this is/was my first projector.
Fortunately, Media Markt is accommodating and has promised me that they will take the projector back as long as it has been running for less than an hour.
I‘ll probably buy the Benq W1000+ or maybe an Epson with 3LCD technology after all
It‘s a shame because I liked the projector otherwise.

Good device, narrow flexibility in installation
I thought long and hard about whether to buy the Acer or, alternatively, an Epson LCD projector.
The premise was not a high-end device but a solid projector for the weekend "movie night".
The main points that initially spoke against the Acer were the rainbow effect, which was repeatedly described as extremely negative, and the definitely limited flexibility when setting up (lens shift, keystone).
Previously I also had an Acer DLP projector in "living room mode", which at least managed 720p, so I have a certain comparison.
The picture of the H7530 is pin sharp - no comparison with the old projector. In my opinion, only the colors need a little manual adjustment. The options for this are available. The volume is absolutely ok - not disturbing. Neither I nor my wife can detect a rainbow effect - fortunately! I‘m extremely satisfied
What could be better (but certainly not for the money ... although 1,000 euros is no bargain):
- Brightness could be a bit higher
- Black image components could be even "blacker" - in dark images the display slips into gray and the noise of the iris with dynamic black is just annoying, therefore virtually unusable
The biggest drawback - and this really has to be mentioned - is the narrow installation area
- The zoom is an absolute joke. With a given screen distance/width (e.g. when mounting the projector on the wall), you can only vary the set-up zone within a range of approx. +/- 50 cm! It is therefore advisable to calculate exactly (!) beforehand whether the desired screen size/screen distance and the projector or its adjustment options match! A lateral offset is not possible at all. Well, the latter point is usually not covered by "cheap projectors".
Also a nice story if you take a close look at the technical data beforehand and come to terms with the small shortcomings.

Simply great for the price!
Ive had the Acer 7530 for 3 months now and I can only say its a great device. No problems with the rainbow effect or anything else. It was important to me that it wasnt as huge as the other devices and can do full HD, and the Acer masters that just fine, brilliant picture, lots of options for setting,
.
The only thing is, it could be a bit quieter, but thats not a problem because you have cinema sound normally anyway..
I can only recommend it!!!
Unfortunately, I cant find any definite information as to whether this device can display 1080-FullHD pixel-perfect.
Actually, its not really a big deal (after all, overscan is an artificial thing), but apparently its not a given.
Is it possible to display 1080i from a satellite receiver with 1:1 pixel accuracy?
Is it possible to play 1080p from a PC with 1:1 pixel accuracy?
The Optoma HD200 would be an alternative, but its a bit more expensive. And a bit less light-intense.
If it is to be used as a TV replacement in the living room (with a large patio window) in daylight, it makes a difference.
The one-year warranty is also a point. I know that the annual usage time exceeds the 2500 hours by double. According to Acer, there is no restriction. That would be a lamp flat rate.

Simply Super
Extremely sharp picture, with me firmly mounted on a sloping roof, neither my wife nor my daughter or visitor could recognize so far even the hint of a rainbow effect the feed is via PC (ati hd 4870) or
LG bd 370 . On the negative side, the very loud fan is noticeable - it‘s impossible to ignore it. But I have to note
that I find everything in the living room over 20 dp disturbing (PC is completely water-cooled quieter than most Notbocks). I would buy the Acer again because in this price range I have only seen projectors with a significantly worse picture.

Product info
Hello, the Acer has been on my mind almost since the IFA and I was firmly convinced that I would buy it. At the moment I still have the Optoma 737 and have been very satisfied so far. In the past, the Optoma and the Acer were often identical. The Optoma still has the old DLP chip in it, but I read a review of the Acer H7530D in the audio magazine that the rainbow effect (flickering color flashes in the picture) is still a problem. What is your experience with this? This effect didn‘t really bother me, but it is noticeable. Is the Acer really mature, or do we have to agree with the experts and wait a while longer until the 3 DLP chip technology becomes affordable? What do you think?

Simply 1A
I‘ve had the projector for about 1 month now and am extremely satisfied. Really acceptably quiet, super contrast and image sharpness despite manual adjustment. Produces an optimal picture from every signal source and the color reproduction is really great. The skepticism about buying a full HD projector for 1000 has proved to be absolutely unnecessary. This device is simply great fun. It‘s easy to use and even the 2000 Ansilumen are enough for a perfect picture (but only in a darkened room). ACER: that was a great shot.

Have a problem with Acer H7530D
Have had the projector since Friday and after approx. 1-1.5 hours in Eco mode black vertical stripes appear in the picture approx. 60 hours. I can only get rid of them if I turn it off and turn it on again after 15 minutes.
Can anyone check this with their projector?
Setting: the sharpness all the way to + !
Eco mode -On
Large height -Off
It is important otherwise I have to
pack up the device and off to the dealer.

Test report
I‘ve had the projector for a few days and am extremely satisfied; even a very competent friend was immediately impressed. There is nothing to complain about, even the noise level mentioned in some comments is low, the device is quiet in my opinion. Therefore 100 points for the price/performance ratio alone.
