As a projector, the Acer X1170 combines DLP technology with a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600, and is additionally specified with 2700 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 10000:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. A look at the light output reveals: The 2700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 453 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 302 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This model dates back to 2012 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range.
