The projector S1383WHne by Acer utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 13000:1 at a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. According to Acer, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours, which amounts to roughly 5.5 years at 2 hours of daily use. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 104 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 575 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 383 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.
