Known as the X1160, this LED-BrilliantColor-DLP projector by Acer features basic specs of 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. According to Acer, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 259 cm. This model dates back to 2007 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range.

Have owned the projector for several months now, I find the picture quality so bad that I hardly used it and have now sold it, I will now look around for something better. Projection width for me is 2m.
I‘ve probably had about 15 projectors (tube devices, Epson, Sharp, Toshiba...) none of them were that bad, not even 10 years ago.
Color reproduction, sharpness, a horror, okay I didn‘t have a rainbow effect.
The price certainly speaks for the device, but even for that I would rather prefer a used one that‘s good.

Question
Hi guys i have a question!
what does optional wi-fi capability actually mean here?? does anyone happen to know??
can you use the usb input as a picture input source via wi-fi stick??
probably not or?? I guess you can connect it to the network at most, but the stick or something similar is not included in the scope of delivery or what else means optional???
please help, because that could change my mind, otherwise I‘ll buy the OptomaES520!:D

picture great
I‘ve had the device for about 2-3 weeks now and it works great. watching dvd is excellent, pc too, playsen is also great. the big disadvantage of this device is that it has little equipment. i have the beamer 2 meters above the couch and if you want to have different devices you have to switch constantly, especially in terms of sound. even with the playstation i have to let the sound play through a dvd that is wired to an amplifier. Watching TV is very complicated, without an integrated TV tuner, but what do you want for 300,-. does anyone watch TV? if so, via what? PC, video, DVD recorder DVBT? how is the quality?
-10% due to low equipment, otherwise great picture transmission.
Eco mode cannot be switched on manually, wait a few minutes then the beamer jumps into an economy mode.

Question
Hello I had an Infocus x1 until now (was sold)!
With the X1 I could vary the screen size manually!
Question: Is the screen size not variable with this device or does it depend on the distance??

Simply great
I‘ve owned the set for 3 weeks now and use it for DVD, Playstation 2 and PC. Absolutely brilliant picture for Lord of the Rings, super black level. Picture width is 2 meters and I don‘t think there‘s anything better in this price range at the moment. There is no Eco mode, although it is mentioned on some pages, it is not listed on the acer page. You have to set it yourself in the user menu as you would like it
Playstation games without problems and super picture
simply brilliant

Super device
I‘ve had it for 3 weeks now and can only recommend it to anyone. It really makes a great picture, probably the best on the market in this price range. Only the Eco mode I have been looking in vain for 3 weeks, if someone finds it he can write to me.

Great device
I agree with the previous speaker...but I have to confess that I have the successor to the X1160Z, I mainly use it for:
- Watching DVDs
- Playing Xbox 360 (720p via VGA)
- PC has already been connected
I think the little box is simply flawless. The picture width is 2m.
Who should ask themselves why only 95 points?
Quite simply...where else would the possibility of an increase be? But there are no boosts in this price range.
Question about activating the Ecomode?!
I didn‘t find the Ecomode either but:
1. on the one hand you can set this manually in the menu (user-defined mode). Save and be happy with the self-made Ecomode
2. on the other hand, the bulb, lamp or whatever, is available via price comparison search engines for around 160€ Now I look at my user behavior and realize that I can get by with a bulb for almost 2 years. At least with a lamp life of around 4000 hours
If you want to buy a cheap home theater, this device is a great choice. The whole thing works on a Celexon screen with a gain factor of 1.2
Have beamed onto a white woodchip for 2 days and I have to say I can‘t see any difference. The question arises...screen crap or beamer super? In any case, it looks more professional ;o)

Projector
Hi, werner, since I‘m just getting the device, I can‘t tell you yet how the Eco mode works, but just check the menu.
But you can connect the Satreciever, if it only works via scart with an adapter either to video or to normal video, you can get it in any MediaMarkt^^^

Connection and Eco Mode
Hello,
I‘m also happy with the projector so far, but I‘ve only tried it with my laptop so far. Now I‘d like to connect my satellite receiver, but I‘m wondering how, since I‘ve only used a Scart cable so far. So how do I connect my satellite receiver that comes with a Scart cable? Via Scart to D Sub Adapter?
Furthermore, I would like to activate the Eco Mode, but how do I do that?
I would be very happy to receive answers, so please write to me. thank you.

zoom, projection distance
Yes, it has a digital double zoom, but logically the picture gets much worse when you use it. I had a picture with a width of 1.80 meters at a projection distance of 3.5 meters

wrong Zomm information
Good day,
according to my information, the projector has a digital 2x zoom! Can anyone confirm this and possibly determine the projection ratio? THANKS!
