The Acer H6540BD is a 3D-DLP projector offering 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3500 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 601 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 401 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. Since entering the market in 2018, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
