Equipped with DLP technology, the Acer S1283Hne offers 3100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 13000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 4000 hours for this projector's lamp – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 104 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 485 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 323 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (10W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
