Model Overview

The projector VPL VW600ES by Sony utilizes SXRD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 1700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 200000:1 at a resolution of UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160.
For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for optical image shifting. To plan the individual installation location, a look at the Distance Calculator is recommended.
A look at the light output reveals: The 1700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 214 cm.
Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket.
A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 26 decibels. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
