As a projector for the High-End Homecinema sector, the Sony VPL HW40 is equipped with 1700 ANSI lumens, a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast of 15000:1. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without digital image artifacts. The Projection Calculator is available for room planning. Looking at practical performance, up to 419 cm can be illuminated with 1700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 279 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 22 decibels. This model dates back to 2014 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range. However, it remains one of the frequently accessed models in our database.
I actually wanted to buy the Optoma HD 90, but the salesman advised me against it and I‘m more than satisfied with the Sony.
Saved me a lot of money and got what I wanted.
Super colors,very quiet,etc... simply good.

I am completely dissatisfied. Bad picture, blurred, not very bright and poor moving picture display.

TOP TOP TOP! Buy and have fun! There aren‘t many fair products left on the market. The HW40 is one of them!!!
