According to Sony, the VPL VW1000 model provides 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 1000000:1 alongside a UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. In terms of image alignment, the model offers an optical lens shift function, allowing the image to be shifted without quality loss. The exact adjustment leeway can be calculated in the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 287 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 191 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. With a value of only 22 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2012, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

Hello, does anyone know if an upgrade to HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 is still possible? Thank you.

This projector is worth the money, no artifacts, pure movie enjoyment, provided the film material is in HDTV, 3D is amazing, you are right there, mounted on the ceiling, the fan is not audible, Sony has once again made its contribution to a satisfied home cinema fan.
