lenses out of focus
I got my VPH 1041 from an old party cellar. It had about 1500 hours on it at the time. After a bit of searching on the net, I found a service manual to adjust the device in ceiling mode
I needed almost 2 days
I am now at a diagonal of 2.75 meters and have a relatively blurred picture, but still in a tolerable range
Would like to change the lenses, but don‘t know where to get them. Does anyone know a dealer?
All in all, I am very happy with the projector.

Good entry-level device
I already have the 2nd 1041, actually a nice and robust entry-level device. However, it is still quite loud without a fan mod and is "only" a baseband device. If you want full HD, you should look for something else!
Note: I don‘t know why SD-130 tubes are mentioned here, my two 1041s had SD-186 tubes installed!!!! (Are approx. 100 lumens brighter)

LENSCHANGE
HELLO,
THE VPH1041QM IS A FINE DEVICE AND ALSO CREATES A 3.30 METER WIDE AND QUITE GOOD PICTURE. NOW I WANT TO WIDEN THE PICTURE TO 3.80 METERS, THE SHARPNESS IS NOW NOTICEABLY WORSE. NOW I WAS THINKING ABOUT OTHER LENSES (HD6). DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MAKE SUCH A CHANGE? DO I HAVE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE DEVICE?
PLEASE ANSWER QUICKLY, AS I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WHO SELLS THESE LENSES CHEAPLY.
THANKS AND GRUSS

Questions about questions...
Servus,
I got the projector as a gift, at the moment it only shows crap of a picture on the head, in triplicate...
After googling for a while I realized that you can‘t run it with a PC without expensive bells and whistles...
Not so bad, I‘ll connect the projector to a DVD player soon, that should work. But my questions now are, what dimensions does my screen need for a picture size of 150 ? Or 250 ? Does anyone have any experience with this? What about the quality, which connectors should I use, i.e. S-Video input or video or would it be better to use the RGB inputs? You see I have no idea... Would be nice if someone could give me some tips...
Mails please to Magnat20@gmx.de
Danke in advance... :)

Robust tube for little money
I‘m also quite happy with it. The interlacing is almost unnoticeable when compressed to 16:9. I run it with a home-made syncstripper and can therefore connect directly to Scart. I subsequently replaced the TAC3 lenses with the higher quality HD6 lenses, which improved the picture quality even more, especially when focusing on blue. But I will probably change to something higher quality soon

Robust and reasonably priced
I bought the device 18 months ago and it runs regularly and without any problems. That‘s why I‘ve bought a cheap replacement in the meantime in case it dies. I also had a VPH1252 for a short time, but it was too big and too heavy for me, and it consumed twice as much power. The analog convergence setting is also unbeatable because it is much more accurate. Ideal for DVD players with RGB outputs

Fine piece for its size
I have absolutely no complaints.
I don‘t know if it‘s because I got such a good device, but I don‘t think there‘s much difference to the 1270.
It runs perfectly for me. I run it on a 16:9 with 2m width. The player is an Amisos. My colleague has a 1270 which he runs on 4:3 with HTPC feed.
Without exaggerating, I don‘t see much difference.
The picture is probably a little brighter and more contrasty on his.
But when I look at the size and the price difference, I‘d rather settle for my 1041.
