The VPL SX630 model from Sony combines LCD technology in the Short Distance sector with 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Lens Shift Calculator. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 54 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 493 cm can be illuminated with 3200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 329 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. This model dates back to 2014 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.
