Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL FW300L device delivers 7000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1366 x 800 and a contrast of 1500:1 as a projector. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projection Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 7000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 964 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 643 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2007 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.
