Model Overview

Based on SXRD technology, the Sony SRX R815DS projects images in a E-Cinema environment, with technical specs listing 30000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 35000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 24 years.
Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator.
A look at the light output reveals: The 30000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 813 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 542 cm.
In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly.
Since entering the market in 2017, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.
