The Sony VPL SX235 is a Laser-LCD projector offering 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 92 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 493 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 329 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2014 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.
