The Sony VPL SW536M is a LCD projector offering 3100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 3100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 566 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 377 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Specifically for the educational or business sector, an interactive whiteboard function is also integrated. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
