Behind the name VPL CX125 is a Laser-LCD projector by Sony, whose main features include 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 650:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
