Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL-FWZ60 device delivers 5000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 10000:1 as a projector. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours, covering an estimated 13.7 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 479 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2016, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
