Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL FHZ70 /L/ projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 5500 ANSI lumens and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. You can choose between black and white for the housing color. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 753 cm can be illuminated with 5500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 502 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
