Based on LCD technology, the Sanyo PLC XE40 projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 1500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 128 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 1500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 337 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 225 cm. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.

Is the projector defective and can it still be repaired? 091116181040

Hello,
I received the above projector as a gift, presumably because it is defective. The red power LED lights up when I reset it, then all three LEDs run through briefly and at the end the power LED lights up again.
FB is a CXPC, is that actually the right one, there is another one shown in your operating instructions. This CXPC has a laser pointer and there is a 4-way DIP switch under the battery cover. One of them is responsible for deactivating/activating the laser pointer
Unfortunately, you can‘t really find any information about the projector
How can you check whether the lamp is still OK? The previous owner probably crashed it once, right on the PIN code button cover, which broke out. Is there any hope of repairing it without going to great expense?
