A projector from Sanyo is the PLC WM5500, whose LCD model delivers 5500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 800:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 753 cm can be illuminated with 5500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 502 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo.
