Categorized in the Standard-Portabel segment, the PLC XU56 projector from Sanyo projects with a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, alongside 2500 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 450:1. According to Sanyo, the lamp has a durability of 1000 hours. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo.
