Categorized in the Stationary segment, the PT D8600E projector from Panasonic projects with a SXGA 1280 x 1024 resolution, alongside 7000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 450:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1500 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 708 cm can be illuminated with 7000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 472 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. The model is currently no longer actively offered on the market by the manufacturer. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
