Behind the name PT DX820 is a DLP projector by Panasonic, whose main features include 8200 ANSI lumens and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. According to Panasonic, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Lens Shift Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 789 cm can be illuminated with 8200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 526 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
