Model Overview With the PT AX200E, Panasonic offers a LCD projector that features 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours.
Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Projector Calculator.
Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 454 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 303 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings.
In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P.
A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 25 decibels. Since entering the market in 2007, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.

5 Stars Top
Top projector, highly recommended!
Mine has now done 1000 hours in ECO mode in about 5 years and runs wonderfully. Super black levels make movie and series evenings a pleasure. If a double-shielded VGA cable is used, the VGA picture is definitely shadow-free. I myself have PC and XBOX 360 connected via 5m no-name HDMI. In addition to video, gaming is also a pleasure. Whether adventure games or first-person shooters, the projector does it all. Flawless picture. The volume can be heard in very (!) quiet movie passages. However, this may also be due to my installation, which is quite close to the viewer‘s ear at 80 cm. The fan is not noticeable during normal movie and game sequences. Lens-shift, trapezoidal thread on the underside make even difficult installations possible.

PRO:
+ Good black levels
+ Personal picture profiles can be created (movie, PC, etc..)
+ 2x HDMI
+ Easy to install
+ Illuminated remote control
+ Lens shift, trapezoid

Kontra:
- In very quiet environments (pictures, quiet movies) the fan can be heard
- Unfortunately no "Auto-Shutoff" adjustable (e.g. if no input signal for more than 5 min.)

5 Stars Perfect
I‘ve been using it regularly for 3 years, whether for DVD or Bluray. The projector is simply great. The fan is pleasantly quiet, the brightness and image sharpness are first class. I would buy it again at any time, but I hope it lasts a long time.

5 Stars Still Hi-End
I‘ve never seen a sharper picture. Even with Blue-Ray, this projector offers a quality that is second to none - there is no adjustment that cannot be made.

5 Stars Aspect ratio
I am very satisfied with the projector and can only agree with your opinion.
I need the projector mainly for picture presentations, which are reproduced with
the best quality.
I take my photos in a 3:2 or 4:3 ratio. I still
have distortions in the aspect ratio when I use the projector. The reproduction ratio (on the projector) should actually be between 4:3 and 16:9. I am a relative layman.
Who can help me with advice, especially as I read that there is a setting option
e.g. 16:10. B. 16:10 exists. Thanks in advance.

5 Stars Have had the projector for over 2 years and the first lamp is still working
I have owned my projector for a good 2.5 years now and have currently reached a lamp duration of 2450h, I have to say that I have only run my projector in ECO mode since the beginning, because I find that even in this mode the brightness is sufficient even in a not very dark room. Unless you watch horror movies that are very dark anyway, then the room should be darkened, but that goes without saying with such movies

My projector has become my TV replacement, as I run my HD reciver and all other devices via this projector

Other than that, the projector has fully convinced me in all things, from the picture quality to its loudness, everything is perfect in my opinion
I would choose this projector again at any time.

4 Stars Signal
Hello
Have had my projector for about 1 year and have been very satisfied with it so far. About a week ago I wanted to connect my DVD player via HDMI, which worked at first, but suddenly there was no signal or no signal was accepted, neither HDMI, VGA nor S-Video. I tried several cables. Has anyone here had similar experiences? I‘m still hoping I‘ve made a mistake with the operation (I‘m not an expert)

Thank you

5 Stars Warranty on lamp life?
The manufacturer‘s warranty period for the lamp is supposed to be 200 hours. Can anyone confirm this?

3 Stars Lamp defective after only three weeks
The projector offers a nice picture and a pleasant volume.
What I miss a little is an adjustable switch-off after x minutes without signal.
And the lamp, which gave up the ghost after less than 150 hours of operation, is more than just a nuisance. I‘ll have to buy a replacement lamp and if it doesn‘t last any longer, I‘ll only give it a zero rating.

5 Stars TOP TOP TOP
I spent a long time researching all the projectors and decided on the Panasonic, which was not a mistake.16:9 200x114 screen.

5 Stars Perfect Home Cinema
The Panasonic is easy to use, produces a great picture at 3.10 m wide and without any particular darkening. Small difficulties with the setup were always with the peripheral devices. Of course, it is not possible at this stage to make any statements about the durability and fault-free stability of the device.

5 Stars Ceiling mount?
Hello,

First of all: I‘m thrilled with the device!

But unfortunately I can‘t find any information on whether the projector can be attached to the 4 threaded holes on the underside of the housing (2 silver and 2 brass-colored)... The original bracket seems to hold the projector to the ceiling with two brackets that grip around the device. Do you have a link or any information on whether the threaded holes can be used to mount the device?

5 Stars Problems with 1080p??
Super device,I‘m thrilled!
The projector works perfectly at all resolutions,If anyone here has a problem with it,they should look elsewhere! I have a Blue Ray Test DVD - the device passed with flying colors, great black level and in Eco Mode with Blue Ray movies a great picture. It also has automatic brightness adjustment and lens shift! Keystone can be corrected excellently via the class menu
No fly screen to recognize, unless you hang 5cm in front of the screen! What‘s the point, nobody can see that, and nobody is sitting there, or who else sits in front of the first row in a movie theater? I have a really good 7m and a 3m HDMI cable connected, a booster in between, play Call of Duty 4 on the Ps3 with 3.20m diagonal, I really can‘t imagine that such a perfectly sharp and pleasant picture should be even better and sharper! My tip: buy, buy, buy

5 Stars Panasonic PT-AX200E
My opinion on the Panasonic PT-AX200E
First class projector with some limitations!
The Ansi lumens do not correspond to the stated 2000, guess it‘s around 1600 to 1800.
So you can forget about watching in daylight with this device.
But if you darken it a lot, you can hardly beat it.
Marvelous black level, lots of connection options, but if you use an HDMI cable, you should forget them all immediately.
I use a new Yamaha receiver and have also connected a 7.1 box set. Contrary to many opinions, I have now tried it with a Vivanco 10 meter HDMI cable (60 euros at Saturn) and lo and behold, great picture!!! No difference to a 5 meter cable!!!
The cable works perfectly and has nothing at all of a cheap cable, who does not believe it should try it and will be pleasantly surprised.
It is a 16:9 projector, but the various setting options also allow a 4:3,16:10 similar picture.
Hope these few lines are helpful and remain with a greeting

3 Stars question
I‘m also thinking about getting the projector. so I wanted to ask if it has an eco mode and what the automatic brightness setting is like? in a darkened room, the lamp will probably run at full power all the time or how is that? can anyone tell me more?
thx

1 Star Prefer DVI/HDMI instead of a long VGA cable
Yes, that‘s right: VGA signals are analog, and a long cable distorts the signals, especially at higher resolutions (such as HD). It‘s better to use a DVI graphics card and get an HDMI cable and a DVI to HDMI adapter. I have the 200 running with a cheap 10m HDMI cable. Flawless
Happy gaming!

hello guys I‘m now the proud owner of the 200
it‘s great so far.I‘ve also connected the projector to my computer,on the
desktop and with all windows I always have a small shadow, like a reflection to the right. That bothers me a lot because the quality suffers. I‘ve already tried all the settings but can‘t get it right. Could it be that it‘s the vga cable, it‘s 10 m long and wasn‘t expensive, about 20 euros. would be nice if one of you people could take care of my problem.

this is probably due to your cheap hdmi cable for hd you have to have at least 1.3a otherwise you have interference not for nothing the better cables are more expensive

5 Stars Price/performance super
I bought the projector just under a week ago, in comparison, the AX 100 is available for 50 euros less...

50 euros more is worth it (2nd HDMI input, game mode, and I‘ve heard that the projector is more sophisticated than the 100)

I bought a medium quality cable, 20 euros for 2m component cable is ok, could be cheaper but I didn‘t think it was that cheap....
Unfortunately, no signal arrives at the beamer, took a cheap cable and it worked...

I think the connections to the beamer could be of a higher quality, if you push a cable in there, the connections disappear almost completely inwards, so they give way a lot... Wackelkandidat
Hab aber keine Vergleichmöglichkeiten mit anderen Beamern, deswegen TOP BEAMER!!!!

4 Stars problems with 1080p
beamer is good so far, but has problems with 1080p signals with high-quality dvd players such as denon, dvd-3930 or ps3. the picture flickers or breaks off completely. all other signals go 1080i, 720p etc....only with some cheap dvd players does the 1080p signal work. does anyone else have experience with it?

5 Stars Top Beamer
My first LCD projector and I‘m absolutely delighted with it. I‘ve shortlisted the Sony VPL AW 10 and the Panasonic. The Panasonic impresses with its much brighter and more colorful picture. I can highly recommend the PT AX200, which is also ideal for daylight. The only thing that bothers me a little is the meagre guarantee of only one year, whereas Epson offers 3 years. What also bothered me a little is the meagre accessories, not even a single cable included
But otherwise I‘m completely satisfied, the picture is simply rattling sharp!!!!

Have had the PT-AX200E for about a week now and am absolutely delighted with the picture. Previously had a Sanyo PLV-Z1, the leap in quality is more than clear

So an absolute buy tip from me!!!
