Equipped with DLP technology, the Barco QDX-W45 offers 41000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2200:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 41000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 2057 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 1371 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket.
