The IQ R500 is a LCD projector by Barco, whose specifications list 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 and a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 1000 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 616 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 411 cm. This model dates back to 2003 and is no longer part of Barco's current product range.
