The G62-W8 model is a 3D-DLP projector from Barco, intended for Stationary applications, offering 7300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6000:1 at WUXGA 1920 x 1200. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 20000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. The projector is offered by the manufacturer in both white and black housing variants. The presence of a lens shift function enables flexible vertical or horizontal positioning of the projector without digital interference. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 7300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 909 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 606 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
