Known as the Heimdall+, this 3D-DLP projector by Barco features basic specs of 6000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 at a UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 25000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 17.1 years at 4 hours a day. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 6000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 389 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling.
