Behind the name IQ Pro R500 is a LCD projector by Barco, whose main features include 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 800:1 and a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 1000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 616 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 411 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers, audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco.
