A projector from Digital Projection is the 6520 4K-UHD, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 8125 ANSI lumens, a resolution of 4KESHIFT 2716 x 1528 and a contrast of 3000000:1. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 30000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projector Calculator. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Regarding projection size, the value of 8125 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1180 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 787 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
