Known as the Lightning 28sx, this DLP projector by Digital Projection features basic specs of 16000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 275:1 at a SXGA 1280 x 1024 resolution. According to Digital Projection, the lamp has a durability of 750 hours. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1071 cm can be illuminated with 16000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 714 cm. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Digital Projection. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
