Designed for the Short Distance sector, the PJD6381 model from Viewsonic features 2500 ANSI lumens, a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 2400:1. According to Viewsonic, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 136 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
