A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. This model dates back to 2007 and is no longer part of Viewsonic's current product range.

I bought the device used on Ebay as a second device.the projector is a good entry-level device.price/performance Ok.whoever is new to the projector world is well served here.

Bought the device from a friend. However, without remote control and proof of purchase. Then I wrote to ViewSonic ( Suport ) that I would like to buy a remote control. They replied back within 10 minutes that it would be no problem, they would send me a new remote control immediately for 28,90€ plus 7,80€ shipping. All they needed was the serial number of the device. No sooner said than done, the number was sent and after another 5 minutes I received the next reply. The employee wrote that the serial number was still under warranty and that they would send me a remote control immediately free of charge by UPS. All they need is the delivery address and the part would be dispatched the same day. The part arrived today. It only took 36 hours from the first email to the UPS driver on my doorstep. Brand manufacturers should take a leaf out of their book. And that where the devices cost five times as much. A BIG praise for ViewSonik The device itself does not need to hide from well-known manufacturers. The fan is very quiet if you hang the device from the ceiling. With the right setting in a semi-dark room, it produces a great picture. As with the TV, you can point the remote control at the screen and it responds promptly. Good contrast for the price Ansi lumens sufficient for an entry-level model. Disadvantage: low resolution and a lot of light passes through the ventilation slots and reflects onto the ceiling. For those who are not yet spoiled by projectors and have no comparison, it is the ideal entry-level model. If you can get it used. I wouldn‘t have spent €500 as things stand today.
