The Viewsonic LS550WH is a DLP projector offering 1250 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. The LED unit of this model is rated for up to 30000 hours of runtime, covering an estimated 20.5 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 98 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. To ensure objective comparability, an approximate ANSI lumen value was calculated based on the LED lumen values. Regarding projection size, the value of 1250 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 359 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 239 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 30 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
