As a projector, the Nec PH2601QL combines DLP technology with a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160, and is additionally specified with 26000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 30000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 26000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1638 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 1092 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
